Our school is under Catholic Management and sees the need of co-operation and involvement of the total school community (i.e.) pupils, parents, staff, parish, Board of Management and Department of Education.

 

Education in Aghamore N.S. should be characterised by care for the individual, answering the child’s many needs within the frame work of a well structured environment.  This should enrich the child and prepare him/her for life and give a solid foundation for the child’s development as a Christian.

 

Love, confidence, respect trustfulness should characterise all relationships in Aghamore N.S.  The children, with each other, with their teachers and with their parents.

 

We acknowledge at all times that the parents are the primary educators of their children and we will work towards a high degree of co-operation between teachers and parents.

The education environment will be such that the child is encouraged and stimulated to be confident, appreciative, independent and creative – in short, to be an active learner at his/her own rate.
