We were delighted to welcome back Rosie from Water Safety Ireland to our school for an important and informative talk on water safety.

Rosie spoke to the children about staying safe around water, including the meaning of water safety flags, the star shape for floating, how to put on a life jacket correctly, and what to do in an emergency. The children also learned about emergency contact numbers and had the opportunity to practise how to throw a lifebuoy safely.

A big thank you to Rosie for such an engaging and valuable visit. We learned lots of important skills to help us stay safe around water!
