'Anything But A Schoolbag Day' raises funds for Daisy Lodge

The Student Council held an ‘Anything But a Schoolbag Day’ on Friday, 19th June, to raise money for Daisy Lodge. Pupils were challenged to bring their books and lunch to school in anything but their usual schoolbag, and they certainly rose to the occasion!

Creativity was in abundance at Aghamore N.S. There were enough suitcases to rival Knock Airport, along with fishing nets, wheelbarrows, a toy tractor, a mini fridge, a bread bin and many other imaginative alternatives.

Each classroom displayed their unusual ‘schoolbags’ along the corridor, creating plenty of excitement and laughter. Great fun was had wheeling wheelbarrows and racing around on toy tractors!

Well done to all the pupils for embracing the idea with such enthusiasm, and a special thank you to the Student Council for coming up with such a fun and creative initiative. It was a fantastic day for a very worthy cause!
