Thank you to Cian O'Toole, the Mayo GAA Hurling Games Development Coordinator, who coached the boys and girls from First Class to Sixth Class for the last six weeks. It was great to see everyone develop their skills and confidence, while having lots of fun.

Children from Junior Infants to Second Class were full of excitement as they travelled by bus today to see the heart-warming musical show I Want a Hippopotamus for Christmas. The performance told the story of a little girl who sent a last-minute letter to Santa asking for a hippopotamus. The pupils thoroughly enjoyed their fun-filled, festive outing.

This week we celebrated Science Week with a wide range of fascinating experiments. Each class took part in a variety of investigations, with the highlight being a Science Fair held in the GP Hall.
During the fair, pupils from 5th and 6th Class carried out the experiments they had been learning about throughout the week and demonstrated them to pupils from Junior Infants to 4th Class. The experiments included identifying blind spots, making lava lamps, erupting volcanoes and launching rockets towards the roof!
A big thank you to Ms Maloney for coordinating such an enjoyable week, full of exciting experiments and hands-on learning.
